Pancakes and Low Carb are the perfect combination of pure bliss and a healthy lifestyle. You don’t believe me? You better. We tried various recipes to find the yummies mix and the best ingredients. Sweet or savoury – you don’t have to choose – you can have both as our pancakes are without sugar. After-workout treat or sunday-in-bed spoiling – banana pancakes are always a good idea. Now  you really wanna know the recipe, right?

Low Carb Banana Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 3 large free-range eggs
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
  • 140 ml milk
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 115 g of protein powder (for the not so low carb version you can take 115 g of plain flour)
  • Hint of salt
  • Hand full of berries to serve

Instructions

Combine protein powder, chia seeds, baking powder and salt.

In a separate bowl, mix together the eggs, milk and bananas.

Stir the protein powder mixture into the banana mixture.

Set aside for 10 minutes to let the chia seeds soak.

Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium heat.

Serve with berries, yoghurt or whatever crosses your mind.
